How to Become a Tutor or Volunteer

Tutor Form – Scroll down on the homepage for more information on becoming a tutor.

If interested, select “Click this link” and complete the online tutor application form.

Attend the ONLINE eLearning electronic training class which is flexible and self paced.

Watch for your school assignment email. Note your Tutors for Kids school contact information.

Apply for the required security background check through the county of your assigned school.

Once cleared, you’ll be ready to begin tutoring! Wait for the email from Tutors for Kids STC for assignment. Remember to check your spam or junk folders.

If interested in a non-tutoring position such as Behind-the-scenes – Administration, Community, and Community Outreach, click on “other volunteers” on the website homepage and complete the application.

Beginning in January 2026, our newsletter will be distributed on a quarterly basis. The next issue will be released in January 2026. The newsletter schedule for the remainder of 2026 will be:
