A working board member at Tutors for Kids serves in a defined leadership role—such as Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, or Board Member-at-Large—and actively volunteers time and skills beyond governance to support operations, programs, schools, and fellow volunteers.

To get started we vet all potential TFK Volunteers through our Google Form Application, which you can find on this page below.
Orientation Session
Attend an online orientation covering the mission of Tutors for Kids, tutoring responsibilities, and student engagement best practices.
Commitment
There are many non-tutoring volunteer roles for TFK, so the commitment will vary from role to role but the average is 90 minutes per week.
