Mission & Organizational Overview

Tutors for Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving literacy and academic confidence for students through one-on-one and small-group tutoring. Our mission is to support children who need additional academic help by connecting them with trained, caring volunteer tutors in a school-based setting.

Founded to address learning gaps at an early age, Tutors for Kids partners with local schools to provide consistent, relationship-based tutoring that supports classroom instruction. By working directly with educators and school administrators, we ensure that our programs align with student needs and contribute to measurable academic progress.

Tutors for Kids operates as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and serves students across multiple communities, focusing on early intervention, literacy development, and long-term student success.

Programs & Impact

Tutors for Kids delivers school-based tutoring programs designed to support students who need additional academic assistance. Our programs focus on early literacy, foundational academic skills, and building confidence through consistent, one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions.

Volunteer tutors work directly with students during the school day in coordination with teachers and school staff. This approach allows Tutors for Kids to provide targeted academic support while reinforcing classroom instruction and maintaining alignment with each school’s educational goals.

Through our programs, Tutors for Kids has supported hundreds of students across multiple schools, helping improve reading skills, academic engagement, and overall confidence in learning. We regularly track participation and outcomes to ensure our programs remain effective, responsive, and focused on student success.
